This built-in buffet added plenty of space to store extra items from the small kitchen in this condo. It also serves a great space to display bottles of wine, cook books, and a formal set of dinnerware. The cabinets are constructed of birch plywood and maple trim & the crown molding is a paint grade pine, both of which were painted by the homeowner. The maple counter top was finshed with a tough water-based clear laquer and punched aluminum panels were used insead of glass on the upper doors. |
This simple wall of shelves serves as a place to organize books and games. The divider in the center section is also removable to allow a flat screen tv to be hung (with the wiring already installed). The unit is birch plywood with a durable custom tinted white laquer to match the trim in the house. Later simple flat stock trim was added by the trim carpenters. |
This kitchenette was finished with a custom white wash and durable clear laquer. The counter top is white plastic laminate with matching wood edging. The lower cabinet on the right has no bottom to accomodate a mini refrigerator. |
These two builtin bookcases are finished in the same custom white laquer as the cabinet on the left. They have fully adjustable shelves, shaker style doors, and bead board backs in the bookcase area. After the trim is added to the cabinets and the fireplace it will have a clean classic look. |
